Iwona Gramatyka, CEO of EXPO Katowice:
-The EXPO KATOWICE International Trade Fair is Europe’s largest and the world’s third largest heavy industry trade fair. And still ahead of us next year are conferences related to, among other things, the future of the mining industry and real, and less declarative, measures for air quality.
Trade shows are changing and evolving. Only a few are able to find their way in the new reality of global turbulence and the challenges of decarbonization. The strength of EXPO KATOWICE is its flexibility in building an offer for our partners and participants in the conferences we organize. The role of the city of Katowice as co-host of the event is also difficult to overestimate. We don’t live from meeting to meeting, we collaborate and respond to industry needs throughout the year.
Industry Meetings EXPO KATOWICE is one of the few events on the European arena enjoying such great interest from companies and organizations focused on industry, primarily those related to energy, engineering and mining. We are not losing our industrial character. This year, for the first time, and already at the stage of preparing the event, there were meetings related to the needs, employing more than 70,000 workers, of the peri-mining industry. This turned out to be so important that today we already have a whole series of symposia prepared, where those who are looking for new opportunities and markets will meet with those who are looking for cooperators and partners to meet orders from the defense, railroad or critical infrastructure construction markets. I am convinced that with the support and cooperation of relevant institutions and organizations, the Polish mining industry is capable of generating enormous potential for the export of goods and services. And on both sides of the table are our partners, so we want to create a platform that will facilitate their cooperation.
There are no easy solutions, there are only decisions to be made. The most important assets that companies in this industry have are personnel and experience, production and logistics facilities.
This is Silesia’s strength and argument in negotiations with investors. Silesia is prepared for the challenges of the industry. And EXPO Katowice, thanks to its cooperation with the authorities of Katowice, the provincial government and the GZM Metropolis, wants to create a space for exchanging information and establishing cooperative cooperation.
