President of the City of Zabrze
Agnieszka Malgorzata Rupniewska – Polish lawyer, entrepreneur, manager and local government activist.
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia in Katowice. She also completed postgraduate studies at the School of Banking in Dąbrowa Górnicza, majoring in MBA.
She served as President of the Board of Directors of a company operating in the energy and installation industry and as Chief Legal Officer. In addition, she was also chairwoman of the Supervisory Board in a municipal company controlled by the city of Rybnik.
For many years she has been involved in social and public activities in Zabrze. Her activity in politics began in the Federation of Young Social Democrats and was chairwoman of of its Zabrze structures.
Since 2018, she held the mandate of a councilor of the Zabrze City Council. She was chairwoman of the councillors’ club Koalicja Obywatelska – Nowe Zabrze. In the 2024 local elections, she was elected mayor of Zabrze.
