The conference âModern Woman – Transformation and Powerâ is one of the key events accompanying the Meeting Industry, a meeting platform at the EXPO KATOWICE International Fair. During the September meeting, we want to talk about stereotypes associated with women and their place in the rapidly changing labor market. About the opportunities, challenges and possibilities presented by the changing world.
On the one hand, nearly 8 million working women today are the most exposed to technological changes that will directly affect the labor market, on the other hand, most of the green skills that will soon dominate our economy are as if directly tailored for women.
Dell predicts that 85% of the occupations that will be performed in the next 10 years have not yet been invented. In turn, according to the World Economic Forum, more than a billion people will need to be retrained by 2030.
–There is no doubt that the situation of women in the labor market today is much better than it was a dozen years ago, only that âbetterâ does not at all mean âgoodâ or âsatisfying.â We are somewhere in the middle of the road. At the current pace, achieving gender equality in the workplace should succeed more or less around 2186, and these are not my calculations, but data from experts of the World Economic Forum – concludes I. Gramatyka.
Since its inception, the EXPO KATOWICE International Trade Fair has been an excellent opportunity to present the offer of both domestic and foreign manufacturers, as well as a platform for exchanging experiences and establishing cooperative and commercial contacts. They have raised – and continue to raise – the profile of Poland’s most industrialized region.
–So there is no better place to talk about technology, green skills and opportunities for women in a rapidly changing economy – concludes Chairman Gramatyka. – Given that more women than men are entering the labor market today, there is no doubt that we will be the ones to change our industry and economy and lead us into a new reality. Let’s also not forget that women are more than half of the world’s intellectual resources – she adds.
The conference âModern Woman – Transformation and Powerâ will be held on September 5.
