Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin announced the development of a new timetable for extinguishing mines and the necessary investment intentions at mines.
“The coal companies – primarily the Polish Mining Group, but also Bogdanka (âĤ) are working very intensively on these investments, so that it will be possible to clearly increase coal production in Polish mines in a short time, within a few months,” he said. – informed the Deputy Prime Minister.
“The schedule has to change due to the fact that today we are not able to move away from coal in the energy sector as quickly as we had anticipatedâĤ Hence, the curve of mine extinction over the next few years has to flatten out. That is, we can’t really close any mines today, but on the contrary, we need to increase coal production,” the state assets minister noted.
